Animal Farm Poem

Animal Farm was once a peaceful place
Till Old Major came along
and said no more power for the human race
So that’s what they did the animals and all
Chased and beat the humans to their fall
The power had been corrupted for the first time
And guaranteed it would not be the last
For two young pigs came and took charge
Napoleon and Snowball whose opinions would not barge
All Napoleon wanted was power
The animals mostly saw them bicker every hour
It was over a silly windmill they fought
In this Napoleon had to be right
So he sent his blood-thirsty dogs after Snowball and into the dark night
Snowball was never seen from then on
But Napoleon blamed everything on him that went wrong
Now Napoleon was sole leader of the kin
And the power had been corrupted yet again
Napoleon did not care what happened next
Because he would keep leading
Until his final rest

Poetry videos

I watched Allison Strong read My Mistress' Eyes Are Nothing Like the Sun by William Shakespeare. She does a great job of physical presence and voice and articulation. You never get the feeling that she over does anything.
With her physical presence and voice and acticulation she really helps you understand the poem. its basically explaining everything about the mistress and what shes like and how her eyes arent like the sun.
